Architecture For All Ages and Abilities

Inclusive design is essential. A home should feel welcoming, accessible, and enriching for everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. I believe good design celebrates difference.

My passion for anthropology runs through everything I design. I am endlessly curious about how people experience space. How do our bodies, histories, and perspectives shape the way we move through a home? How does architecture influence the small, everyday moments that make up a life?

For me, inclusive design is essential. A home should feel welcoming, accessible, and enriching for everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. I believe good design celebrates difference. It creates spaces where people feel at ease. It makes daily life smoother, richer, and more joyful.

No two people experience space in the same way, and I embrace that diversity in every project.

When I design family homes, I think about rhythm and flow. How might children explore, learn, and play in these rooms? Where do parents find comfort and moments of pause? How can grandparents enjoy both independence and connection under the same roof? I believe a good home balances togetherness with privacy. It allows for noise and laughter, but also for stillness and retreat.

Multi-generational living brings its own opportunities. These homes are alive with layers of activity. They must flex as family needs shift, today, tomorrow, and years into the future. I ask myself: where will people gather at the heart of the home? Where can individuals find calm? How do rooms adapt as children grow, as teenagers seek independence, or as older relatives require greater ease of movement?

I design with longevity in mind. A staircase that works for a toddler should also feel safe for an elder. A kitchen island should support both everyday meals and the bustle of large gatherings. Gardens and outdoor spaces can connect generations, while still offering quiet corners for retreat.

Whatever the project, whether I am reimagining a single room or beginning a new build, I bring care, clarity, and creativity to every stage of the process. I listen closely. I respond to your life as it is now, and as it may unfold in the future.

My aim is simple yet profound: to design a home that feels deeply yours. A space that is effortless to live in, grounded in its surroundings, and filled with quiet joy. A home that can hold families and communities, today and for generations to come.

Design for people and planet

The way we design homes has a lasting impact on both people and the planet. When I talk about sustainable design, I mean more than energy ratings or eco labels. I mean thinking about how a home feels to live in, how it adapts over time, and how lightly it rests on the earth.
